St. Anthony’s Higher Secondary School is a Co-educational English Medium School. It is a private institution and established in 2019. Every year a new Admission is opened for Class-IX to Class-XII (Arts) with Hostel attached.

Who are Anthonians? - In this institution, all the members of the Staff, Students and Alumni are collectively known as “Anthonians”. SCHOOL INTRODUCTION

St. Anthony’s Higher Secondary School is a co-educational English Medium School. It is a private institution and established in 2019. The school was established in consultation with the Local Council, NGO’s and the local people. The school is located in Chaltlang Lily Veng (block), Sairang Road, in the district of Aizawl, Mizoram. It consists of Grades from 9 to 12 with Boarding attached. The school is Not Applicable in nature and is not using school building as a shift-school. English is the medium of instructions in this school, and generally follows the Text Book and the course prescribed by the Mizoram Board of School Education (MBSE). The calendar of the Government of Mizoram is also generally followed for examininations and holidays.

The school is located at a separate private building and all rooms are in good conditions and well electrified. The school also provides an abundant supply of drinking and sanitary water. Separate bathrooms and toilets for boys and girls are available in the school. But unfortunately, the school does not have ramp for disabled children to access classrooms.

St. Anthony’s Higher Secondary School is equipped with modern teaching aids. The school also has well-experienced, dedicated, good academic record holders, trained and untrained prominent teachers. So, the main aim of the school is to provide to cater the needs of quality education not only in and around the local people, but also the soil of Mizoram. In order to give quality education to the students, the school has many aims and objectives. Some of the aims and objectives of the school are:-

Since its inception from 2019, the medium of instruction in the school is English. Students coming from vernacular medium institutions are encouraged to attend Special English Language classes offered by the school.

The school also provides special classes in Science and Mathematics for High School students. Co-curricular activities has also been undertaken for the aesthetic development like character building, spiritual and moral values, physical growth and creativity. Study Tour / Educational Excursion, One-day Trip (outing), Games, Ports, Picnic, etc. have also been introduced every year for students’ personality development.

In this institution, all the members of the Staff, Students and Alumni are collectively known as “ANTHONIANS”. The Anthonian Alumni Association provides former students with an ideal platform to maintain strong ties with the school in a spirit of loyalty, integrity and to promote the general welfare of the school.

The school also insistes students to attend class and weekly tests regularly. Participation or regular attendence in school functions and programmes like devotion, school anniversary, annual sports, picnic, Teachers’ Day, advance christmas, social work, cleanliness programmes, career oriented programmes, counseling and career guidance and constant communication with the parents are deliberately designed aspects of our system of education.
