BACKGROUND HISTORY:

.

After planning its implementation and operations, Vocational School of Education was formed on 2011 and had started to run smoothly from 2012 and had offered courses on Basic Tailoring Courses which were for duration of 6 months. On 2014, the institution expanded by offering courses for Fashion Designing and offered other vocational courses with the coming years. VSE undertake Vocational training courses with Government organizations and programmed with North East Rural Livelihood Projects (NERLP) and NULM.

VSE Garments is the manufacturing Unit of Vocational School of Education.

AIMS & OBJECTS:

The aims and objects of VSE are as under:

a)      To develop skilled workers from the unemployed youths of Mizoram

b)      To sustain livelihood of the women community of rural and urban Mizoram by providing employment opportunities through vocational training.

c)      To enable the state to be self-sufficient in different sectors of the available market.

d)      To promote vocational activities and training as the base for occupation throughout the state.

e)      Creating second chances for the educationally crippled (drop-out) Mizo youths to stand out and sustain a livelihood on their own in the field of vocational activities.

REGISTRATION:

·         Recognized by the Mizoram Board of School Education, Govt. of Mizoram vide No. B.11013/2/2012-DTSE(EDN) : Dated 24th February, 2012.

·         Recognized by Ministry of Labour & Employment, Govt. of India, Directorate General of Employment & Training under Skill Development Initiative Scheme with Permanent Registration Number – 415030018

·         Registration of Establishment for Apprenticeship Training under National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT) with the Establishment Registration Number - E11151500002.

·         Registered under Firms & Societies Registration, Government of Mizoram, abiding to the Mizoram Societies Registration Act, 2005 with the registration number MSR 671 of 4.11.2015.

INFRASTRUCTURE:

VSE have the following training facilities in Aizawl:

1.      VSE  Fashion Designing School at Chaltlang Dawrkawn. (Vanlalhumi Building)

2.      VSE Training Centre for Hair & Beauty Culture, Chaltlang Dawrkawn

( Lalsangluaia Building).

3.      VSE Garments Production centre & VSE Basic Tailoring at Chaltlang Venglai, (Lalsangpuii Building)

4.      VSE Girls Hostel & Training Centre at Khatla Nursery – (Darchhingpuii Building)

5.      VSE Boys Hostel & Training Centre at Nursery- ( Ropiangliana Building)

VSE is well equiped with teaching materials in its Training Centres.
